Hosted at the Isshinkan Dojo.
An immersive week of Aikido at our beautiful haven of peace in West Hampshire. There just is no better way to start Aikido!
Summer School is taught by our Founder, Denis Burke Sensei, and it's how he started in 1979 - by going along as a beginner to Summer School. It's a guaranteed positive life changer!
Even if you don't live near enough to an Isshinkai Dojo to practise regularly, you'll find Isshinkai Summer School will give you a new perspective and all the value you can carry!
Relaxation
This year’s theme is Relaxation, specifically Dynamic Relaxation Technique in Aikido.
As with every year there will be a progression through the week, so we recommend, if you can only make part of it, that you make it the first part. But, even if you miss the beginning you can be sure it’ll be worth your while.
Isshinkan will be open for arrivals during the day on Sunday 28 July with the first session of Summer School that evening from 20.00 - 22.00. Thereafter, daily morning sessions will be 10.00 - 12,00. Open Mat for practice in the afternoons and Evening sessions (except Wednesday) 17.30 - 19.30 Around this framework there will be some extras announced at short notice!
Course fees are:
Standard: £250
Concession: £200
Day fee: £60
